Stella’s Story

It all begins with Stella the Airstream Photo Booth; a 1966 classic camper they found in a field in St. George, Utah. The summer of 2016, Valley natives Phillip and Brandi Walsh, their son Pearce and their bloodhound Roscoe hit the highway in pursuit of their American dream; to turn an iconic silver trailer into Arizona’s first Airstream photo booth.

Fast forward and Stella—the first in a future fleet—has been lovingly renovated to capture memorable moments at private celebrations and corporate events all across Arizona and surrounding states. Only 17’ long x 9.5’ tall, Stella is both compact and agile, taking up no more room than a full-size SUV truck and can be moved by hand-dolly to fit most indoor and outdoor venues.

One of their favorite aspects of the business is that the whole family can be involved, including their son Pearce. “He has been hands-on in all areas of the startup. From contract meetings with vendors to getting his hands dirty, degreasing hubcaps on a Saturday. We want him to feel like he’s a full partner. Hopefully this will grow to be a business that is still benefitting his children some day," says Phillip.

"Supporting local business is important to our family..."

"Supporting local business is important to our family," says Brandi – and it’s why they chose to work closely with other local-owned businesses for everything from aluminum repairs, to the brilliant electric sign on top—fabricated by Signs of the Times in Phoenix. Many of the premium props have been purchased from Groovy Ghoulies costumes in Mesa, as well as an assortment of curiosity shops and antique stores the Walsh's have discovered during their Arizona adventures and road-trips beyond.

“Stella the Airstream’s team is both personable and professional. They recently helped our team raise charitable contributions at our Tempe Festival of the Arts, and have also participated in our weekly 6th Street Market. Their setup is super cute and easy for our event attendees to access. Our guests feel welcome and excited about the photo opportunity and our event. I’ve personally also visited the booth with my teammates and took the cutest photos! Brandi is diligent in communication (and humor!) throughout the event, and post-event makes sure we have photo captures of the day. She goes the extra mile to make sure our organization is always represented well and that we have what we need to make our events a success. It is such a memorable experience and we always enjoy featuring Stella the Airstream!”
